Impex Tiles pledges support for infrastructure development

Impex Tiles has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Malawi’s infrastructure development by continuing to supply construction materials to the local market.

The company’s Marketing Manager, Shiraz Waka, made the remarks during a media briefing, where he said the private sector has a role to play in complementing government efforts to improve infrastructure.

Waka said modern infrastructure requires quality construction materials, including tiles, doors, and sanitary products.

He said the company supplies a range of products, including floor and wall tiles, sanitary ware, ceiling boards, and doors, adding that it aims to make them available at competitive prices.

According to Waka, Impex Tiles plans to introduce additional products during the second half of 2026 to meet growing demand in the construction sector.

He also acknowledged the challenges posed by foreign currency shortages, saying the company is working to maintain a steady supply of products to help prevent delays in construction projects.

Impex Tiles operates outlets in Lilongwe at Diab Complex near Maula Pharmacy and in Blantyre at Maselema.
