Press Corporation provides K12m towards ICAM Indaba

…endorsing strategic partnerships…

Press Corporation Plc has invested K12 million towards the 2026 Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) Lakeshore Conference, scheduled for September 17 to 19 in Mangochi.

The sponsorship makes Press Corporation a platinum partner of the national platform, which will bring together business leaders, policymakers and professionals to discuss the role of strategic partnerships in the country’s sustainable transformation.

The conference will be held under the theme, “From Silos to Synergies: Strategic Partnerships for Malawi’s Sustainable Transformation.”

In a statement, Press Corporation Plc Corporate and Public Affairs Manager Rehanna Rice said the company’s decision to participate as a platinum partner reflects the importance Press Corporation places on building strong relationships and working collectively towards shared national goals.

“As a diversified investment holding company with interests across different sectors of the economy, Press understands the value of partnerships. No single organisation or sector can address the complex challenges facing Malawi alone. We need stronger connections between business, government, professionals and other stakeholders if we are to achieve meaningful and sustainable progress,” said Rice.

She added that the conference theme presents an opportunity to move beyond isolated efforts and focus on how different sectors can work together more effectively.

“We believe this conference will provide an important space for stakeholders to challenge conventional thinking, share practical experiences and identify opportunities for collaboration. Our sponsorship is therefore not simply about visibility; it is about supporting a platform that encourages collective thinking and solutions,” she explained.

ICAM Chief Executive Officer Noel Zigowa welcomed Press Corporation Plc’s commitment, describing the sponsorship as a significant contribution to the success of the 2026 conference.

“We recognise that no single institution, sector, or profession can independently deliver the aspirations enshrined in Malawi 2063. Sustainable national development requires structured strategic alliances that unite government, business, development partners, academia, civil society and communities around common goals,” said Zigowa.

According to Zigowa, the continued growth of the Lakeshore Conference reflects the need for spaces where professionals and leaders can come together across sectors.

He added that the support from Press Corporation would help ICAM deliver a conference that promotes meaningful engagement, knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships.

Zigowa further noted that the ICAM Lakeshore Conference has continued to grow, with the 2025 conference attracting more than 1,400 delegates from over 300 organisations, including CEOs, managing directors, senior executives, decision-makers and finance professionals from both the private and public sectors.
