Airtel Money has described its Tola promotion as a tool contributing to the financial inclusion agenda, investing in people’s dreams and promoting businesses among its customers.
Airtel Malawi Managing Director Aashish Dutt says during the promotion period, the company reached out to customers across various financial and occupational categories, which he believes helped uplift people’s lives.
Dutt was speaking during the final draw of the promotion in Lilongwe on Wednesday. He said Airtel invested around K600 million in the promotion.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Standard 8 learner Moses Madalitso from Thyolo District, who is also pursuing carpentry and joinery, has won the grand prize of K50 million.
Madalitso says the money will help him achieve his dream of owning a big business, support his education and venture into chicken farming, which he has always wanted to pursue.
Semion Msokera from Traditional Authority Khombedza in Salima District and Wilfred Mwangala from Zomba have each won K5 million.
The Tola promotion commenced on May 13, 2026, with three customers winning K5 million each week, while 300 customers won K50,000 each week.
