Government to Unveil Economic Recovery Plan at National Consultative Workshop
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Decentralization will tomorrow convene a National Consultative Workshop on the Draft National Economic Recovery Plan (NERP) 2025-2030 in Lilongwe as part of efforts to develop a roadmap for Malawi’s economic recovery.
Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Decentralization Joseph Mwanamvekha will host the meeting at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC), with Standard Bank Malawi Chief Executive Officer and Bankers Association of Malawi President Phillip Madinga serving as co-host and moderator.
The workshop is expected to bring together government officials, development partners, private sector representatives, academics, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to provide input into the country’s economic recovery strategy.
The draft plan is aimed at fostering an inclusive economic recovery under the leadership of President Arthur Peter Mutharika.
