World Netball Approves Malawi Project to Empower Girls Through Sport and Education

The Netball Association of Malawi has secured approval from World Netball for a project that will use the sport to promote education and talent development among girls from disadvantaged communities.
NAM President Vitumbiko Gubuduza says the initiative will create opportunities for young girls through sport and education.
Meanwhile, Mary Waya says through her foundation, the initiative will help develop future netball stars and keep girls focused on their studies.
World Netball official Paul Smith, confirmed that the project was approved by the World Netball Board, with funding expected to be released once resources become available.
The programme will be implemented by NAM in partnership with the Mary Waya Foundation and will focus on grassroots talent identification, education support and scholarships for deserving girls.
